Some of my wedding Day Tips

Weather, Communication, and More!

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and while you may have every detail planned to perfection, it's always helpful to have a few extra tips to ensure everything goes smoothly. Here are a few key points to consider that can make your big day even more enjoyable—especially when it comes to photography!

1. Be Prepared for Rain (and How It Can Be a Blessing)
While no one wants rain on their wedding day, it doesn't have to ruin your photography plans! In fact, some of the most stunning wedding photos are taken in the rain. Think romantic umbrella shots or moody, dramatic skies. If rain is in the forecast, let your photographer know so they can scout out sheltered spots or bring along props like clear umbrellas. A little drizzle can add an unexpected touch of magic to your photos.

2. Make Sure the Rings Are in the Right Hands
It's easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of wedding prep, but one thing you definitely don’t want to forget is the rings! The day before the wedding, make sure the rings are with the right person—preferably someone responsible like the Best Man or Maid of Honor. Ideally, the person holding onto the rings should be the one the photographer will first visit in the morning. This ensures that when your photographer arrives to start capturing those pre-wedding moments, the rings are on hand for the all-important ring shots. This way, there’s no last-minute scramble or risk of them getting lost. You can relax knowing your rings are safely in trusted hands.

3. Communication is Key for a Stress-Free Day
Open and clear communication with your photographer is essential. Let them know any must-have moments or special shots you'd like, such as family portraits or candid shots during the reception. Also, be sure to keep them updated on any last-minute changes to the timeline or location. A relaxed and informed photographer will capture your wedding day beautifully, without missing a beat.

4. Build in Extra Time for Unexpected Delays
On your wedding day, time seems to fly, but the reality is that things can often take longer than expected. What might seem like a quick five-minute task, like getting into your dress, could end up taking 30 minutes! Between last-minute buttoning, adjusting, and taking those precious pre-wedding photos, it's easy for time to slip away. To avoid feeling rushed, add a little buffer time into your schedule. This will not only give you a cushion if something takes longer than planned, but it also allows you to fully enjoy those special moments without stress.

With these tips, you'll be better prepared to enjoy your wedding day with peace of mind and beautiful memories. Remember, the day is about celebrating love, and the little things (like a bit of rain or a helpful ring bearer) are just part of the adventure. Happy planning!
